The 31th Annual Wellesley Marketplace Craft Festival

The Wellesley Hills Junior Woman’s Club will hold its 31th Annual Marketplace Craft Festival on Saturday, November 22nd from 10am to 4pm at the Wellesley High School.
The expanded festival, sponsored by The Wellesley Hills Junior Woman’s Club, featured more than 120 New England artisans. Most of the perennial favorites returned, and the exciting new artisans were pleased to have made it through the rigorous screening process to win one of the coveted exhibitor spots.
The proceeds from the festival, raised through admissions, the Marketplace Café, a Raffle with five fabulous gift baskets, and the Cookie Cupboard home-baked goods sale, will help fund local scholarships and fill immediate, specific needs of local charitable organizations.
The Wellesley Hills Junior Woman’s Club is in its 63rd year of aiding the community. Last year, 29% of the funds they raised supported Wellesley student education, 29% addressed healthcare issues, 35% civic and community interests and 6%, athletics. Last year the non-profit club donated over $156,000 to this and surrounding communities with monies raised by The Marketplace, The Wellesley Phone Book and The Kitchen Tour.
General Admission is $5; seniors over 62 may attend for $3 and children under 12 are admitted free. Tickets are available at the door. Premium shopping tickets are available for $10, allowing early-bird shoppers to enter The Marketplace Craft Festival at 9am for a premium shopping hour.
