WELLESLEY LUMINARY NIGHT 2008
Sunday, December 14, 2008

On Sunday, December 14, many Wellesley businesses and residents lit luminary candles in stores, walkways and driveways to celebrate Luminary Night in Wellesley. More than 1,000 homes and businesses across town were aglow in unity in this non-denominational holiday celebration that raised money for a worthy Wellesley charitable organization, the Wellesley Friendly Aid Association (WFAA). The WFAA helps our residents who are in emotional or economical turmoil by providing food, medicine, medical equipment, emergency assistance, and other vital services through the Food Pantry, Friendship Circle, Council on Aging, camp programs and more. (Further information about this organization can be found on their website: www.wellesleyfriendlyaid.org.)
Luminary Night in Wellesley is a wonderful opportunity for families of all ages, religions, and backgrounds to come together, enjoy the beautiful sight of the neighboring homes lit up, and donate to a worthy cause. Many people find this a great time to get together with neighbors for a holiday celebration large or small.
Thank you to our generous business sponsors:
